Local Gold Coast racing operates on the following Weekly Rotation: 1st Sunday (Goldstars) Luke Harrop Circuit (Sports Drive, Runaway Bay) 2nd Sunday (Goldstars) Computer Street (Computer Street, Arundel) 3rd Sunday (Goldstars) Pimpama Road Races (Old Pacific Highway, Pimpama) Start/Finish at the Le Mans GoKart Track 4th Sunday (CATS) Nerang Cycling Centre (Hope Street, Nerang) 5th Sunday (if there is one) Daniel Bennett Development Fund Race (Computer Street, Arundel) Note: The Township Drive, West Burleigh will be maintained as a backup venue by Goldstars in the event that Pimpama or Luke Harrop Circuits are unavailable. Please check the race dates as venues may alter with availability. All Races Start at 7am All Year Round Races cost $10.00 to enter. Race Day licenses are available for the day to non-affiliated members at $18.00 (this is going up to $24 shortly). Prize money is awarded according to the the number of entrants, the race category you ride in, and your placing. Juniors start first and other grades depart shortly after. Come and Give it a Try! Gold Coast CATS Cycling Club, Gold Coast Goldstars Cycling Club, and Murwillumbah Cycling Club operate Open Category 3 racing on the Gold Coast for the benefit of all Cycling Australia licensed members. Open Category 1 and Open Category 2 races are listed on the Australian and State Calendars accordingly. Training is held every Saturday Morning at the Runaway Bay Circuit (organised by Peter Maybe - Gold Coast Cycling Training Club) 07:00 - All Groups (during winter - Currently) --------------- 06:30 - First Groups (during Summer) 07:30 - Second Groups (during summer) Please Note: You do not have to be a club member or affiliated with a club to ride in a training format but you should with Gold Coast Cycle Training Club Inc. but you should need to be aware that this is not a Cycling Australia (CA) affiliated event and as such you should organise your own appropriate insurances. While the training is not a race - it is race training - the pace is quite high and as such appropriate care and safety precautions need to be adhered with. There is a $2.00 fee to participate.
