Apologies - Burleigh Worlds - 11 May 2008

For the person that left this comment:

"What a joke, how hard is it to get an email list together and at least let people know its not on. New ringleaders, same fxxxxxg circus."

I apologise and fair comment. The fault however was mine alone and I would not like this to reflect on the other committee members. You are quite right I should have sent out an email to the CATS list, my apologies for not doing so. I tried my best in getting the message out by ringing up the other clubs and riders that I had contact details for as I do not have contact details for riders from other clubs.

In future I will follow your suggestion.

Crazy Bunch

Q Shops, Bermuda Street, 05:45 (Mon - Fri) Q Store

Meets: Q Shops, Bermuda Street

Time: 05:45

Frequency: Daily (Mon - Fri)

Pace: Fast

Distance: 35 - 50 km

Coffee Shop:

Other Information:

Tie everything on your bike down very tight, cause you are off and racing once they reach Burliegh and head for the spit! 40-50kmh+ is common, so is the odd crash or 2. Dont drift back in the bunch as you could get dropped, they dont wait. Ideal to get use to riding in big bunches. Take care. They are crazy but pretty friendly if you can keep up.

Please Note:

Road Rules should be obeyed at all times. Riding in a large group does not mean that you are above the law or above common courtesy. Remember Safety First.

Please be mindful and considerate to pedestrians especially at intersections and designated crossing points.  A number of complaints have been raised regarding reckless behaviour. Please ensure you are not contributing to any negative public impressions of cycling.
