NCAS CycleSkill Coach Training ProgramThis level coaching course is aimed at people who want to coach children and beginner level adult cyclists to develop and advance their cycling skills. The training program addresses generic coaching principles and teaches coaches how to nurture and develop Cycle Skills riders. The accreditation allows you to independently plan and evaluate coaching sessions for Cycle Skills riders. The work of coaches at this level is vital in supporting those new to the sport and existing cyclists. It is also a prerequisite for further coaching levels. CATS Riders Conquer Battle of the Border CATS riders distinguished themselves at the Battle of the Border last weekend. Congratulations go to Michael Hosking who won the Elite A General Classification by 12 seconds. Michael also won the Road Race by .02 second from another CATS rider Ben Cutajar. A fantastic effort from these CATS riders. Congratulations also go to in-form CATS rider Peter Roper who finished 2nd the GC in the strong Masters A division. Peter won the Road Race with CATS' club coach Mark Brady finishing 3rd. Juan Navarrete produced some strong performances over the series to be placed 2nd in the Masters B Division. He was most impressive in winning the Road Race and finishing 3rd in the Criterium. Steve Rooney is in fine form at the moment and took out the Criterium in this division. Such was the dominance of CATS riders in the crit that they took out 4 of the first 5 places. Byron Hepburn and James Barry finished 4th and 5th respectively. Sharon Heap performed well in the Womens B Division placing 4th. |
